Introduction of Biofilm-Associated Gene Testing:
Biofilms cause resistance to many antimicrobial agents. To overcome chronic and recurrent infections, it is important to detect microbial biofilms and to determine the anti-biofilm activity of agents on biofilms, so identifying genes involved in biofilm formation and measuring gene expression may be advantageous in biofilm research.
